Kerala rains impact: Water gushes into Noyyal river in Tirupur

Tirupur: A land bridge in Tirupur submerged in water due to flash floods in Noyyal river.  

As a majority of parts in Kerala has been lashed by heavy rains, large volumes of water is being released from many water bodies in Kerala. Due to this, Noyyal river which runs through major parts of Tirupur has been flooded. 

Following which Anaipalayam land bridge has been reported to have engulfed in the flood waters.  

Vehicle transport has been suspended, as the land bridge that connects Rayapuram-Mangalam road has also reported to have engulfed in the flood. 

Taking advantage of the situation, dyeing effluents are feared to be released into the flood, hence the public have insisted officials to take necessary actions.
